What a delight. We stayed just a few steps up from this charming restaurant. We noticed it a few nights ago because the jazz music caught our attention. Tonight my husband and I popped in and got lucky with the last open inside table. The anchovies were so fresh and delicious for our appetizer, my gnocchi pesto was the best I've ever had. The portion was enough that even after ai was full and my husband had a few bites I took the rest back for my son to eat in our apartment. The one bummer was the waitress did not write our order down. There was some language barriers between us but we went slowly, made sure to point to what we were ordering. I received still water after she repeated back sparkling and my husband ordered grill swordfish but recieved another type of fish, whole. We did send it back, glad we did because the swordfish was divine! Just a very lovely, fresh spot where you can tell locals as well as tourists come to eat. I would...

I had spaghetti. It’s was simple but if you like simple, it’s was excellent. Good food some others said, but it was excellent for us. Not fancy but high quality. Real reason for 5 stars was bc of what happened after the restaurant closed. We didn’t know. After… that’s when the owner broke out the guitar and played. It was like we were back in Nashville. It was so good and so fun and so simple. We drank wine and sang. He spoke Italian and English but I used Google translate to talk English about good ole days from when I was in American college. My wife and I had a blast. Not sure if we ever make it back to Vernazza but if we do I will make it a point to eat here. Raphael. Btw… I like super spicy food. Food that makes you slow down. If you do, too, ask for the spaghetti muy calientie. You have to say it twice so they know you know....

When we entered one member of the staff was very kind and told us to wait a minute so they can prepare the table. When we sat down another waitress came and told us to get out because the tables were reserved (there were 2 free tables inside big enough for five people). She kept saying that the tables were reserved (nobody else was waiting for the table) while urging to get out and at the same time telling the staff members that we can't be seated because we are only 3 people and the table is meant for 5 but in italian (so in reality they weren't reserved, they lied to get rid of us). She told us that we can sit outside but it was raining all over the tables. While we understand the reasoning, their attitude was rude and...
