While it is the most busy swimming area of the 5 villages, this is for a reason as it is very beautiful. There is a small bay/beach type area to lay down on or a plethora of rocks around the side you can try and get comfy on (some easier than others). You can find a few smallish jump rocks which is fun. Water is crystal clear. Even while busy there is plenty of room for swimming, it's finding a spot that is hard so I recommend getting there early or...

This is more of a rocky waters. Water is a bit dirty here; but loads of boating and cruising options here. The roads are not smooth and a bit of ups and downs. Travelling here with luggage is not recommended. Also travelling between these villages with the Cinque Terre Express is a bit of challenge as loads of people commute between the villages. Going into this train with luggage is quite challenging as there is very little...

The rocky beach formed in 2011 that was accessible through a small cavernous opening is closed (due to dangerous rockfall according to our host). Appears to be a permanent closure, but isn’t clear. Currently the only way to access water is through the main harbor/marina. It is definitely crowded, but if you’re comfortable traversing a few rocks you can get a little elbow room and...
