My daughter made all the plans for our Italy trip and after researching all the towns that are part of Cinque Terre, she picked Vernazza for the place where we will stay. We booked Rina Rooms, a small family owned B&B type place, through hotels.com and we're very happy with the place!||Vernazza is essentially just one street with alleys off off it. Rina Rooms is in the Via Vernazza alley. The staircase to the room is steep, with narrow steps so it is best to hold on to the hand rail, especially while coming down.||As a teenager I fancied having my own small room in the attic and this was like a dream come true. It was newly renovated with fresh paint and new fittings. The AC was strong and with the warm weather here in June, we really appreciated it. While small, the room was able to fit a roll in bed for more daughter.||At about 3x1.5 feet, the shower stall is kind of tight but the shower itself was fantastic, with nice hot water and good force.||The manager is a nice lady and made us feel welcome. The only accept cash so make sure you have enough to pay for the room. The WiFi worked well and even though the rooms are cozy, there come equipped with a mini fridge and coffee maker.||Overall we were very pleased and had a comfortable stay, so I give...
Read moreGreat location in Vernazza for €75 per night. Cash only. It is so close to the train station and is in the middle of charming Vernazza and close to the trail going to Monterroso. From the Main Street, it is 35 steps up to the main door of the Building then another 25 marrow steps up to the room. Keep that in mind when you’re packing your luggage. ||The owner buzzed us in and allowed us to check in at 12:30pm. They gave us clear instructions for the keys and WiFi. They also charge 1 euro per person tourism tax. ||There is a coffeemaker, fridge and hair dryer. Bring your own toiletries. WiFi is fast. Power outlets to charge gadgets can be found in headboards and bathroom. Very convenient.||One thing I would suggest is for them to leave extra rolls of toilet paper inside the room. The owners don’t live there and we didn’t know how to call them when we were running out of toilet paper. Also I suggest they have more lights in the stairwell areas as it gets challenging at night if you don’t have a phone that has a flashlight. ||All in all, we enjoyed our stay and highly...
Read moreOur room was beautiful with all we needed available. Coffee, tea, private bathroom. It truly was in the very center of this small town, as advertised. What I did not know before booking was how many stairs there could potentially be to access your accommodation in Vernazzza. One very elderly couple we met had well over a hundred steps to navigate so they could only manage one trip a day up the stairs to their room. This was not true for Rinas rooms. There were very few stairs to climb! This is something to ask any host before booking if it's at all a concern. I would definitely book this accommodation again should I be fortunate enough to return to...
