Hello, today I went to this bar looks amazing, the view is amazing, the food look amazing the aperol was very good, but I m paying to be bad treated? Humm not very nice, if people don’t want work or they don t like what they do is better to neither go work, the young girl that work there is pretty rude, but this for us that are tourists, zero attention , zero sympathy, when I ask something for eat, for drink even the password of internet , the answer and the attitude terrible ! After I order a panini the same as the other table was eating, when arrive the bread was totally different and hard like a rock , I ask this girl waitress why my bread is different, and she 10x more rude told me that I could choose another one and say that in the menu, I check in the menu and indeed say on the top, but I think by myself maybe I m wrong, but I order one panini if the restaurant have different types of bread in the moment I order they should ask me which one I want, and not take a guess and bring whatever they want , but to be worst I notice that who was eating and even people who order this panini after have all the same bread just me have this one that look like a rock! And I don t listen a sorry nothing, she just turn my back and go to her life. Everyone is different but I don t deserve being treated like this with my family, and I m a guest and I m paying. I hope that someone give some knowledge of service to this girl waitress and some lessons of how to talk with people. All the best for this place but never more, and not...
Read moreHands-down, this is our FAVORITE BAR in Verona. Nikka and his team are the kindest hosts you'll find anywhere. If you go early you might even get lucky and find a seat available outside on the Terrazzo (best view of the Ponte Pietra bridge, both day and night). It's a super romantic and intimate place, full of locals and regulars who have been loyal for decades! The drinks are splendid and always filled plentifully. Be sure to order the "toast" sandwiches, the tartar and the steak if you feel in the mood for more than drinks.
NOTE TO TOURISTS NEW TO ITALY Someone posted here in the reviews about "rude staff", saying they had been "charged" for snacks they didn't order (or eat). In fact, this is just the opposite situation! This generous custom of Italy brings you, ON THE HOUSE, yummy little salty snacks to balance the alcohol in your system. I'm 100% sure the staff was NOT rude, but instead perplexed why a customer was accusing them of erroneously "charging" for food they didn't order. We all travel into worlds that are unfamiliar to us, but let us not be rude yourselves, folks. These beautiful hosts at Bar Al Ponte will never disappoint. :) We love you team Bar...
Read moreOn our first day in Verona, we looked for places with a view and came across Terrazza Bar al Ponte. We arrived around 1 pm on a Tuesday. The outdoor area, which offers the beautiful view, was busy, but we noticed one free table — marked as reserved for 3 pm.

Indoors, there are only three tables, all occupied by customers having meals. We stayed for about 45 minutes, finishing our drinks. During that time, several people arrived and were seated outside immediately, even though the waiter had told us there was no availability — and none of the people inside moved outdoors, as he had claimed.
It was disappointing to see such a charming, traditional place handled this way. The location is lovely and could leave a great impression, but unfortunately, the service left us with the opposite feeling. With the right approach from the staff, this bar could...
