I was not going to post anything because I initially thought my experience was a specific case, but reading some comments and how they were responded by the restaurant owner ( I presume it is the Lady who also was present during our dinner), I have decided to share my experience. Okay here it is: I have initially booked this restaurant via Quandoo but then when I saw it is also available on The Fork with 20% discount, I immediately have cancelled the Quandoo reservation and booked a new one via Fork. After we have finished our dinner ( by the way I have to admit that both pasta and meat was delicious, tiramisu was OK) I asked the bill. When I see the bill I realized that 20% Fork discount was not applied. Long story short; the lady decided to cancel Fork and consider to welcome us via Quandoo which was already cancelled by me immediately 2 mins after I booked. She cancelled it when we were already in restaurant (I saw it after we finished the meal) and the reason was being fully booked :). I am smiling because we were literally the only table in the restaurant during our meal. During whole communication the lady never turned her body and looked to us. She was one of the most ignorant person I have ever seen. The food is good but foodservice is not only about food itself. It is also about treating your customers. Frankly I believe someone who treats even customers like this could do the same to everyone. You can also see this from her answers to the reviews. I am prepared to recieve similar rude response to this review but I just wanted to share this arrogance to everyone. It shouldnt be difficult just smile and listen your customer if you dont see them as one night visitors. To clarify, it is not the discount you did not apply, it is your arrogance which is so...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly memorable dining experience! La Stueta Osteria Antica delivers not just in flavor but also in hospitality. Our server, Vanessa, was absolutely wonderful—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. She made us feel right at home and guided us through a beautiful journey of regional flavors.
The highlights were the dishes from the Lesinai region—authentic, rich, and deeply satisfying. The cheeses were full of character, clearly artisanal, and the pastas were nothing short of spectacular—perfectly cooked with rustic, honest flavors.
Highly recommended if you’re looking to experience traditional cuisine with exceptional service. We’ll...
Read moreLittle restaurant close to Verona's Roman Theatre, La Stueta offers a menu mostly centered on local traditional dishes. The setting is rather simple but the food is properly prepared and served. The service was effective and friendly without being intrusive. Prices tend to be on the medium/high side for a restaurant of this level (the Eur 3 service charge, i.e. coperto, is comparatively rather high) but compensated by the 20% discount coming from The Fork. Worth trying, particularly if you are interested in tasting the Amarone Risotto, the typical first course of Verona, that was...
