Trattoria I Masenini — Restaurant in Verona

Unfortunately our experience at Trattoria I Masenini in Verona was very very disappointing!!

From the moment we arrived the service felt rushed and cold. It wasn’t just inattentive it honestly felt like we were being pushed out the door and the manager in particular gave off a very unwelcoming vibe as if he couldn’t wait for us to leave. There was no effort to make us feel comfortable or even acknowledged beyond the bare minimum.

As for the food it was a mixed a couple of dishes were okay not great, but passable, but others were well below expectations and just not enjoyable. For a place that presents itself as a quality trattoria, the execution didn’t come close to matching the reputation.

Overall, the combination of bad service and hit or miss food made it hard to enjoy the evening and with so many wonderful dining options in Verona, I’d recommend looking elsewhere especially if you care about how you’re...

We hosted our wedding dinner at I Masenini and it was absolutely perfect. Angela and the entire team created the most wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant and the food was delicious.

We started with an aperitif and finger food on one side of the restaurant and then continued with seated dinner at a big table in the second room. The food was of amazing quality, beautifully presented and just so yummy. Angela is a great host and took care of every little detail in planning, preparation and on the day. She made sure that we did not have to worry about a single thing.

I can only recommend hosting a special event at I Masenini. Needless to say that we will always cherish this evening and come back very soon.

I'm sure we went to this trattoria on a bad night. There were only two waiters and they were struggling to keep pace even though there were quite a few spare tables. The result was slow service that really detracted from the overall meal. The waiters worked hard but they were struggling and we almost had to stop them as they dashed to the kitchen so we could get bread, olive oil, drinks and actually place an order. When it arrived the food was very good. My ravioli was well balanced and tasted lovely. My tuna was cooked well if not that exciting. I would be tempted to try I Masenini again but not on a Monday.
