Came here based on the Google rating. We should have left after the three red flags: bright florescent lights, only one other party, smoking and drinking, and an extensive menu (in English) of cooked foods. The service was super friendly, and more fluent in English than most. They are doing a lot to welcome foreign visitors. And the grilled eel was very good. We didn't try the tempura. But the fish was really disappointing. Every piece was chewy except the fatty tuna, and even that was not as buttery soft as it should be. I've eaten sushi for 30 years in the US, Europe and Japan. A quiet sushi bar tucked away behind the Super Hotel ran by an equally quiet proprietor. But good man 👍. He makes such good sushi and prepares fabulous sashimi. I requested for a braised Kinki and some squid tempura. They’re absolutely fabulous. Don’t run around to those busy joints with fixed prices. They’ll never taste as good.
