This is a beautiful spot to sit and eat delicious food, with an amazing view. The interior is also nicely designed. The service was generally very friendly. We did feel rushed for a second when they tried to clear our plates before we were done eating, but they was the only hiccup.
We tried a number of the tacos The mi sueno ceviche and batismo tarutaru were our favorite, followed by the chicken. Then finally the pulled pork option. The pulled pork still got a 4, it just didn't stand out as much as the first ones.
The jungle salad bowl was a favorite of my friend and we ordered it so I could try it. Its a very solid dish. The amount of chicken given is pretty generous too.
I tried one of the smoothies. Would order again. It was the one with banana and kale. I didn't taste the green so much as the banana (which I think is a good thing?)
Parking is American village parking.... Which can be difficult. There are a number of places to park, then you walk into the back to where the water front is. A lot of it isn't that close so it can be a pain, but most people go there to walk and enjoy the area so usually it's not a problem.
They take all kinds of cards including American Express. I included a photo of the cards...
Read moreI was in Okinawa for about 4 days. I ate at Vongo & Anchor my first morning and loved it so much I returned two other times despite the many options for food in the American village. They have a lot of great options for salads, sandwiches, breakfast, coffee, and smoothies. The food was absolutely delicious, well seasoned, and fresh. Pictured here is the jungle salad which was quite delicious. I also had the falafel sandwich which was absolutely amazing and I still dream about it honestly. And I had the eggs and bacon pancake plate another morning. The pancakes were SO good. I also had their iced americano and one of their green smoothies both of which were absolutely delicious. Also, you can’t beat the location, right on the water, and the perfect place to watch the sunset. the ambiance of the cafe is hip and lovely and the decor is very well done. To top it all off, all the people working there were extremely kind and helpful. They noticed I kept coming back and thanked me for returning so many times haha. I would highly recommend this place to anyone...
Read moreThe location is right by a beach, and there is beautiful view of the ocean. When going in, you get a nice vibe from the place. The style is modern-esque. The employees, as with most in Japan based on my experience, are very nice. I like that there were vegetarian (actually vegan) options, and my goodness...they are good! There is not a big variety for those who are avoiding meat, but the tacos I had were really good. Also, the homemade drinks were delicious. I had no issues with my order, which included fries with my tacos and homemade lemon squash. My friend did order sandwiches with tuna and she was not a fan of it, but she did enjoy the Jasmine tea. I saw that there are also shakes offered, and they look very good, but I have not tried them...yet. The presentation of the food fits into the rest of the restaurant's aesthetic, and is what I expected. Some stuff may feel slightly overpriced but it is for the experience and a good place to spend with friends. I...
