Back in 2014, I had my first croissant at Hakata Station. Since then, for 10 years, I've been grabbing croissants wherever I could find them – in bakeries or pastry shops across Korea, the UK, Japan, even Osaka – but none matched up to the one from Il Forno Del Miglio. Even though the line was ridiculously long back then, it's still insanely long now. I devoured 1.6kg of them over two days, and even while I was eating, I still wanted more! You know that feeling of craving even when you're already munching away? If you want that divine taste without the chewy croissant bits, you gotta visit – you won't regret it, I promise. Very solid mini crossiant store (that opens very early around 7am, with shop name displayed in English) spread out over 2 fronts (but still side by side). The one with the long(er) queue is usually for chocolate / sweet potato flavours ie sweet, while other store sells more savoury e.g. almond, mentaiko, of which mentaiko is a fukuoka special (there wasn't a queue at all at mentai shopfront when i was there). The shop allows you to choose how many crossiants per flavor (1 is also 👌 as payment is calculated by weight), which are then packed separately by flavor. Queue does move rather quickly as well at choc side, so won't typically expect more than 5 min queue. My fav was mentaiko, followed by choc, but these are almost too easy to eat given the...
