We tried to walk in and they started to turn us away at first due to reservations being full but then they were able to Tetris us in due to a spot being open. We ate hurriedly to be ready to turn around for the next guests. We were super lucky due to the timing and the kindness of the staff!
So definitely don’t count on the stars aligning for a walk in, especially on a Saturday.
The kindness of the staff warmed my heart and the Ochazuke warmed my soul. There is a choice of 5pc or 7pc steamed unagi. It comes in a cute steamer basket with egg slivers on top. There are also a salad, steamed vegetables and miso soup.
