If I could rate this zero stars I would. For reasons unknown, this restaurant calls itself a sushi restaurant yet has only a few, mostly COOKED, maki rolls. The spicy tuna roll used canned tuna mixed with a bit of spices, and you could only tell that there was any fish in the roll if you have good eyesight, so small was the amount of fish. The salmon rolls were OK but nothing special. The "tofu sukiyaki" - I am NOT exaggerating here - comprised 6 thin slices of tofu on a few leaves of napa cabbage and a few lonely small mushrooms. For 1700 yen. The worst of all was the teriyaki chicken, which was clearly cooked last night (or perhaps a couple nights ago, who can tell?) and reheated once or twice. How do you overcook chicken so badly that it becomes chicken jerky? I could go on, but then you wouldn't believe me. Suffice to say, we left as soon as possible and dropped by Lawson's convenience store for much better food on the way home. My children are laughing at this review as I type. Almost worth going, just to see how bad a restaurant can be. I can only assume that the other reviewers here who left 5 star reviews have never had Japanese food before (or were starving after a long day of skiing). I will agree with them though that service was very nice, but ultimately the food...

I’m not big on Sushi but my partner is so we went here. The sushi were like works of art made right in front of you (we sat at the bar). I got a hotpot dish; I forgot its name, something beginning with a ‘K’. There are 2 hotpot dishes, this one was the chicken. The sauce that comes with it is epic. So flavoursome. Poured it over my meat and veggies and couldn’t get enough. The staff were also very warm and spoke good English (helpful if your Japanese isn’t...

I love this place because it is obvious that great care is taken for every dish! Each order is meticulously prepared and the service is masterful. If you are in a hurry for a quick bite...please don't eat here and then enter a bad review. This place is an experience!!! We have been here once a year for three years and never is the experience less than superb! Any dish is a delight. I appreciate the time taken to deliver a wonderful...

A small but very cozy restaurant. Bookings are strongly recommended due to its size. I found the food to be of excellent quality and some meals come with English instructions for us westerners unfamiliar with the normal Japanese dining experience. Plenty of alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks to try and all at a very reasonable cost. Our lovely host, Hiromi, was absolutely charming. We loved it here and will be returning.

An authentic Japanese restaurant with an English menu. Would certainly come back. Some tables have seats on the ground where you sit traditionally and others at the bar/preparation area. Only 13 people can comfortably fit in the restaurant so you need to make a booking unless you’re traveling solo. Sushi is prepared fresh in front of you. Sake is soo yummy and mochi is off the chain.

I don't often use the word "magical". But this meal was one for the memory books. The sheer depth and richness of taste, the freshness of the food and the beautiful ambience, made it an amazing experience. The wagyu sukiyaki was phenomenal, as was the prawn rolls. Fresh sushi too. Good food, great friendly service. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
