I drank a lot of great coffee in Japan, but the pourover Benti Nenka Ethiopian I had here was the single best cup I had in two weeks in-country (beating out heavy hitters like Glitch in Ginza). It was so good that after leaving the shop, I stopped in my tracks halfway across the street to return and compliment the barista/owner. Speaking of, he's incredibly friendly, speaks excellent English, and is really fun to talk to about coffee and lots of other things. My friend and I wanted a bit of a change and decided to visit a nice café. We found this place, and it more than convinced us. The banana bread was fantastic — it had a wonderfully rich banana flavor and a little chocolate glaze at the bottom. I had a croissant and an espresso.
