Rooftop Bar "Kei" （ルーフトップバー「ケイ」） — Restaurant in Hiroshima

I'm a guest in KNOT hotel and I found this lounge bar to be a great addition to the experience. In particular I loved the concept of the tokens!

We got in the hotel a little bit earlier check-in time and so our room was not yet ready.

We decided to wait in the lounge and that gave me an opportunity to admire the great views of the city and memorial park during day hours and to check out in peace all the many food options.

Contextually with check-in we received 3 KNOT coins (which are actual coins with a K on it!) that can be spent to buy any drink or the food bowls.

We went back in the night after dinner as I wanted to try a few options as dessert.

2 coins buy you 2 bowls, so as we were 2, I could try 4 options. All options were very interesting and quite good. It definitely made the experience very playful!

Add to that a great view on the city skyline and a beautiful roof top terrace and it felt like something really exclusive.

Note on payments: certain items on the menu are slightly cheaper if bought with K-coins compared to actual money. I was allowed to buy cocktails using a combo of the coins I have left, some K-coins and actual Yens. It's also not true (at least not anymore) that one cannot simply buy drinks with actual...

The bartenders Charlie, Ma, Ao, Takuto and the receptionists Rena, Mikki, Queenie, Miku and everyone else there are amazing people and very good company! Helpful, fun, and the place is nice, clean, and vibrant. Saturday nights are DJ nights so it's also bumpin.

10:30pm/22:30 is last call, mandated by the license they have according to city and prefecture laws - please don't try to hassle more drinks out of them after that time.

We are from Australia and stayed at the Knot Hiroshima. From our arrival, to the baggage handing, the smells of the essential oils at the reception made the place feel special.
