An absolutely incredible experience. The food, service, presentation, decor and everything else was spectacular. One of the most enjoyable meals I've had in Japan.

Absolutely recommended (required?) to make a reservation, as it is a fairly small restaurant (roughly enough seats for 17 people), and as the meals take a few hours both to prepare and eat, there wasn't much (or any) walk-in patrons.

The staff greeted us warmly when we arrived. They offered us an English menu for both food and drinks. The menu was well laid out and gave good descriptions of the courses offered, as well as different a la carte options.

The food preparation is as much a part of the meal experience as the eating itself. The food is prepared freshly in front of you by the chefs, and served as and when it's ready. Give yourself at least 2 hours to enjoy the meal and relax.

The quality of the food itself is spectacular. The appetizers, early courses, and the main courses are all equally delicious as each other.

The price to quality ratio is also excellent. It is an expensive meal no doubt, but given the amount of food, the quality of the food, and service received, it's very reasonable.

If you want high quality teppanyaki in Hiroshima, this would be the go to...

Went in to a relatively empty restaurant. Had to wait for 5 minutes to get a menu in my hand before staff also mentioned "oh there's a Japanese menu under the table if you can read Japanese"...

I ordered from the English menu at which point the staff Informed me she couldn't read English so I switched to the Japanese menu.

After ordering a sparkling water and a glass of red, I was informed that the wagyu would take 30-40 minutes. I was too tired to argue this and waited for my drink... which never came. After 20 minutes I asked again and they finally brought out my drinks... pics attached.

Chef definitely did not seem like a pro and spent most of her time on her phone whilst waiting for the beef to cook.

The meat l had, allegedly Kobe beef, was just OK, nothing special and not really tender. As it turned out, It had to thaw...

As the other reviewer said, more of a posh okonomiyaki than a proper decent beef teppan.

5,250円 for...

We went there late in the evening after checking into the Candeo Hotel next door. The chef let us know that he would be closing in hour. There was a chalkboard menu (which I assume that it changes based on fresh ingredients that he receives) written in Japanese but we could not read it. But he did have an English menu available. We ordered fried rice, mushroom with squid, and okonomiyaki. The fried rice was great, so was mushroom squid. Nothing was overcooked or overseasoned. The chef made everything care. For me, the star of the show was the okonomiyaki. The dish was very flavorful and it was not drenched with sauce or mayonnaise. The whole dinner cost ¥6000. We really enjoyed our dinner there and hope to...
