Food is good and personable service equally so. Stand out for me is all pizzas, appetisers and this guys deep understanding of wine and pairing. I am terribly biased with French and & modern South African wines as my expertise. That being said I deeply love and admire the breadth and quality of Italian wine but Italian restaurants in Japan very often serve heavy, over extracted wines at bath temperatures. On the other side you got the restaurants charging you to death on fine wines….which is great if you can afford it, midweek. Read moreMe and my Japanese family went to this very cool spot in Kamakura for pizza… As Italian and as a passionate cook I can tell that’s this is the place to go if you want to taste delicious appetizers ( we had the nduia crostini and cacio cavallo fondue) and a good Italian style pizza, the dough was very crunchy even in the middle and the ingredients so fresh, pizza tomato sauce also good…i would just suggest to always put the basil after cooking outside oven and also to put the bufala mozzarella after cooking the pizza out the oven to maintain the freshness and don’t let it melt and watered out… The owner was so kind, polite and professional and glad he spoke a little Italian….
