Kua Aina Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Kamakura

I only go to this particular shop once every few years as there is one in Yokohama Bay Quarter that I go to more frequently because it's near my office. I went to this one on a summer Friday afternoon. The area was crowded but the shop only had a few people waiting so the order came within 10 to 12 minutes. The burgers are pricey but well worth it due to the size and flavor. I recommend the avocado burger, which has very subtle flavors and is not over-seasoned, which means you can really taste the freshness of the meat. The popcorn shrimp, as the name suggests, are pretty tiny and nothing special. It would be nice if they could find a way to reduce the size of the burger packaging a bit as the bag you need is really huge with just two of them inside, but those have nothing to do with this particular shop, I guess. Beware of trying to get into the men's room! I don't think even many average-size guys could get in there without a small struggle because there is only a toilet and the door opens inward but the space between the bowl and the door is almost nonexistent. You'll be rubbing your leg up against the bowl. Overall, the place was pretty clean and the service was great. It's not a big place but it has seating for about 30 people, I'd say. The parking is tight and can only fit 3 or 4 small to medium-size vehicles but there is paid parking down the street at a convenience store and also down the narrow street to the side...

The vegetables on the burger seemed extra fresh and crunchy, if you focus on veggies this is a big plus. Fries were also delicious. The beef itself tastes good, but a huge, huge downside is that you cannot go double patty. You can only increase the size to 230g single patty, which just doesn't cut it for burger customization in my eyes. Another downside of this chainshop is the price, definately high end for a burger. Overall a pleasant experience with nice, Hawaiian interior design fitting for Kamakura's beach atmosphere. Food overall good but nothing...

I like this burger restaurant. They features Hawaiian style. The facade looks very nice and easy to find out!! I love the crispy French fries!! It is really delicious. I love the most in Japan! The burgers are great!! Basically they are big and make you fulled!! There are many tables so easy to find a place. It is self service style. There are parking on the ground and the restaurant itself locates above the parking. You can find easily driving up north from the beach!! Good place to enjoy for...
