Isola — Restaurant in Kumamoto

Isola Kumamoto is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants you’ll find in Amu Plaza — and one of our personal favorites in the city.

Their pasta dishes are always perfectly cooked, flavorful, and comforting — the kind of meal you look forward to again and again. I especially love their special beet salad — fresh, vibrant, and beautifully plated. It's a unique and refreshing starter that I can’t resist.

My husband is a big fan of their beef dishes, which are always tender, rich in flavor, and expertly prepared. Whether you're in the mood for a light lunch or a satisfying dinner, Isola delivers every time.

With its cozy yet refined atmosphere and consistently excellent service, Isola Kumamoto has become a go-to place for us whenever we're at Amu Plaza. A wonderful spot for date nights, family meals, or a relaxing meal with friends.

料理の味は満足でしたが、サービスなどのオペレーションは問題がたくさんありました。開店して1週間後に予約の上、17時にディナーに訪れましたが、入口横のテーブルでメニュー用の物撮をしたようで、料理がたくさん並んでおり、席に着く前にいきなり舞台裏を見せられたような気持ちになりました。その上、通された席がバックヤードに近かったため、食事中ひっきりなしにその物撮り後の料理を下げるスタッフが席の横を通り、頻繁にバックヤードのドアが開けられて中が丸見えになり、落ち着いて食事できませんでした。このような作業は開店前か閉店後に行うべきで、お客に堂々と見せるものではないと思います。スタッフの教育にも問題多数です。メニューに記載されている前菜盛合せの内容を女性スタッフが把握していなかったため、他の男性スタッフにヘルプを求めたり、ボトルで頼んたワインの抜栓が上手く行かず、コルクくずがグラスに入っていたり、取り皿をこちらから頼まないと持って来ず、パスタのオリーブオイルがたっぷり残っている取り皿でピザを食べざるを得なかったり、オープンキッチンで冷蔵庫から取り出した食材の印刷されたビニール袋が丸見えだったり、気配り不足による居心地の悪さを感じました。また、ボトルで注文したワインの2杯目からのサービスはセルフなのでしょうか。このクラスのイタリアンならスタッフが注ぎに来るのでは。もしセルフサービスがイゾラの方針であれば最初に説明すべきです。開店準備不足、スタッフの教育不足と言わざるをえません...
