We LOVED our meal at Gojo Mahal!! Conveniently located near Kyoto Station this small restaurant was a short walk from our hotel Dusit Thani. Stumbled here by chance after a long day of walk in Kyoto in search for quick and comforting food and they didn't disappoint. The food was rich and flavourful, and you can choose the spice level you want (I had "hot" which is spicy for western standards - it was perfect). I walked by earlier in the day and was greeted by the friendly staff. I said I needed to be somewhere so they invited me to come back later to which I happily agreed.
