If you’re a fan of Korean barbecue and happen to be in Kyoto, I highly recommend visiting this amazing spot! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness by the staff, which made us feel right at home. The restaurant has a cozy, modern atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family.
Now, let’s talk about the food! The quality of the meat is exceptional—everything from the marinated galbi (beef short ribs) to the thinly sliced pork belly was fresh, tender, and bursting with flavor. The grill, built right into the table, allowed us to cook everything to perfection, and the accompanying banchan (side dishes) were delicious as well. The kimchi, in particular, was fantastic—spicy, tangy, and just the right amount of crunch.
What truly set our experience apart was the service. A big shout-out to Nurito, who took care of us during our visit. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure that we had everything we needed without us having to ask. He went above and beyond to explain the menu to us, recommend certain dishes, and even helped us adjust the grill when things were getting a little too hot. His smile and kindness truly made our meal special.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, and the staff was constantly checking in to ensure we were enjoying everything. It’s clear that they take great pride in offering excellent food and service. This place is definitely a gem in Kyoto, and I will absolutely be back next time I’m in the area.
Thank you, Nurito, for your fantastic service! If you’re in the mood for Korean barbecue, don’t...
Read moreThere was no wait for a party of 2 with no reservation and we were seated at the bar. We chose the basic course and after a few minutes were given an iPad to put in our orders. We also got soft drinks and upstairs they have a drink dispenser with oolong tea, coffee, and sodas like coke, fanta, and calpis. They also have unlimited lemon sours on tap for 500 yen an hour which seems like a great deal.
Once you get your iPad, you have an hour to eat as much as you can. You should order as soon as you can because it would take a while before the food would get to us, even the raw meats.
I liked the beef short rib steak, the brisket steak, and the thick sliced beef roin steak. We also tried the takoyaki, fried chicken, fries, gukbap, and kimchi. I loved that we could see the food being prepared from our bar seats. The prepared food was all solid.
They played exclusively kpop, which can be a positive or negative depending on your music taste. There wasn't a lot of space, which is not unusual for Japan, but the problem was compounded by the fact that they did not clear the old dishes quickly enough. We were definitely bumping elbows with the people next to...
Read moreGreat experience. For those who can get overwhelmed a little, don't worry. Though the staff does not really speak English, the menu is available in English and easily understandable. The "addictive fresh cucumber" and Kimchi assortment is highly recommended as sides to keep your pallet fresh from all the good meat. We tried the Basic all-you-can-eat course and the softdrink all- inclusive add-on, and had a fantastic time. We will try Kobe beef somewhere else, but if you feel like it, please enjoy to your hearts content. The quality of the meat was very good and savory - not first class but that was not what we were looking for this evening anyway. For what it promised and what was served we would definitely come again.
You definitely need to reserve a table as it was crowded after 0700PM. The food arrived quickly and neither the meat quality deteriorated through our stay nor was our little BBQ grill rigged - full flame always and grilled both veggies and...
