The experience at Sushitofuji was, in a word, exceptional. From the moment we were seated, the service was remarkably swift and attentive, a testament to a well-oiled team that anticipates your every need without hovering. Plates arrived with impressive alacrity, yet never felt rushed, allowing us to savor each moment. The true star of the evening, however, was the sushi itself. Each piece was a miniature masterpiece, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to quality and artistry. The fish was impeccably fresh, melting on the tongue, and the rice perfectly seasoned and textured. It was clear that the sushi chef at Sushitofuji possesses not only incredible skill but also a deep reverence for the craft. Dining at Sushitofuji felt like an honor, a privilege to witness such dedication to culinary excellence. Beyond the exquisite food and service, the overall value was astounding. To receive such a high level of quality, from the ingredients to the presentation and the entire dining experience, at such a reasonable price point is truly rare. Read moreI’ve traveled a lot and tried sushi in many places, but this was truly one of the best sushi experiences of my life. The omakase set was priced very reasonably, around $25–40, yet the quality was outstanding. Everything was incredibly fresh, prepared with precision, and served in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. You can clearly see that the chefs put genuine love and dedication into their work. This is, without a doubt, my number one sushi spot in Japan and honestly the best sushi I’ve ever had anywhere. The restaurant is only a ten-minute walk from the station. It’s not a touristy place — located on the second floor, authentic, local, and exactly the kind of spot where Japanese people themselves go to eat. We will definitely come back...

Food was delicious and service was fast. We got the nigiri assortment, the sashimi assortment and the tuna roll. All was great. The only downside was that we got the feeling we were treated differently from locals (they were served on classic woodden sushi plates, while we were served on regular plates). But that was maybe just a feeling. Would recommend this place...
