和食 浮橋 — Restaurant in Kyoto

Last dinner for this trip. Go to my list. Wagyu beef sukiyaki at Ukihashi 和食 浮橋 Hotel Granvia Kyoto Station. Excellent choice for me. 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭 It came with a set.

1. Boiled Mizuna Greens and Matsutake Mushroom with Chrysanthemum flower in Dashi and ponzu soy citrus sauce. (When see the description sound so interesting but when see it. For me is just some little little green😆😆😆)
2. Sashimi Super fresh and tasty. Yummy yummy yummy. (I only had sashimi twice for this trip. First time is this afternoon lunch. Second time this dinner. Both gave me a surprise.)
3. Hot pot : Sukiyaki Kuroge Wagyu Beef . Vegetables and tofu cooked in Sweetened soy sauce broth. (The sukiyaki broth is a bit thicker for me) Love the flavour of the Wagyu beef. Never in my life had such a big piece of Wagyu beef. And all for myself 😆😆😆😆 4)Rice dish a) Rice with Chirimen Sansho ( Dried young Sardines and Sansho pepper cooked in sweet and salty Soy sauce) interesting flavour. Love it. b) Udon noodles

I choose the rice It came with Japanese pickles and miso soup.

5)Dessert Sweet potato paste Jelly. Luckily can tahan the sweetness 🤭🤭🤭(actually not too sweet. Just nice for me)

Many of the reviews under this restaurant name are actually reviews of the Granvia Hotel restaurant and other restaurants inside Kyoto station. This review refers to Ukihashi, which is an upscale restaurant offering traditional Kyoto-style cuisine with specialties from the area. We visited for dinner and were served a seven-course set menu. The restaurant is traditionally cozy Japanese-style, and the staff is very professional. The dishes are served very quickly, and are beautifully presented. We lived in Japan and have eaten many similar set menus, and usually rate them dive stars. However, we found this set menu too different, with some dishes that were overly pretentious and actually not very tasty. The sashimi was excellent but the boiled fish dishes were quite average. The broiled freshwater fish was nothing special, but advertised as a seasonal delicacy. 京都グランビアホテルの中にあるレストランです。駅から直結なのでアクセスは抜群ですね。 外観はモダンな作り。和のお店とは思えないような感じです。 昼間の平日の利用でしたがかなりの混雑。 客層は50代前後の奥様が多い。 今回のお目当はうなぎ御膳4000円。 先付けの胡麻豆腐、鰻重、肝吸い、甘味、煎茶とついて4000円です。 肝心の鰻重は国産のうなぎを使用。 やや硬めの印象ではありますがサイズも大きく食べ応えはあります。山椒がまた京都らしく良いものを使っていて風味が良い！ バランスよくCPは良いのではないでしょうか！甘味は白ゴマのプリンでさっぱりとした味わい。 ネットでランチクーポンを見つけたので3500円でしたので結構お得感あります。 ホテルランチの中では優秀だと思います。
