If you are a tourist, and you haven't had ramen in Japan yet - don't go here! It will ruin your experience of ramen. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing directly wrong with the dish, and nothing to do with hygiene. But there is SO much better ramen out there, and for nearly the same price. This food reminded me of an upgraded instant noodle dish. While you can literally find ramen that tastes heavenly. Also, the portion was small (950yen). You only got one slice of meat, and the egg was bland. Normally for a nice bowl of ramen (around 1150-1300yen) you get completely full, two slices of meat and an egg with a deep taste. We recently visited this restaurant for some ramen, and we loved it! The place has a really good vibe—warm, welcoming, and perfect for a casual meal. The staff were super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better.

Fun little ramen + snacks place in Gion. My wife and I were looking for a quick late-night bite as we arrived in Kyoto and we were very pleasantly surprised. There's a fun, laid-back atmosphere that reminds me a lot of the places we used to frequent when we were in college. And yet...the food is incredible!
