We had an early dinner at 4pm and managed to get two seats as walk ins. The staff and chef were very welcoming and accommodating to us as we were foreign travelers who did not speak Japanese. We ordered the omakase appetizer and sushi for our meals. The food was high quality, which is a reflection of the chef having 20 years of experience.

The restaurant was exclusive, as it only offered counter seating up to 8 people (5 of the 8 seats were already reserved when we walked in). The interior offered minimalistic, wooden decor, and the vibe was intimate and friendly. The chef and hostess were warm and attentive, and they explained each course and the preparation involved. We also felt like the meals were reasonably priced.

Thank you for having us. If we come back to Kyoto, we will...

If you are looking for an amazing and wonderful sushi dining experience in Kyoto, then this place is for you. It’s only been open for a year so don’t let the low number of reviews fool you. They are not fake. This place is 5 stars and a must for any sushi fan.

The place is run by a husband and wife duo, and you can tell they really care about every single guest. The chef is truly a master. He has over 20 years of experience. He skillfully makes each and every item in front of you. Taking the time to explain what it is. Which was part of the overall amazing dining experience. We had the omakase which is a bargain at 6000 yen. Try the II serpents sake. It’s sweet, crisp, and a great pairing with the sushi.

This is one of those hidden gem restaurants and was the highlight of our...

5 stars – An absolute sushi highlight!

We had an unforgettable evening for two with the Omakase menu – and what can I say: it was simply fantastic! Every course was a small masterpiece, beautifully presented and perfectly balanced in flavor. The individual sushi pieces we ordered afterward sealed the deal – it doesn’t get any fresher or more authentic than this.

The service was just as outstanding: attentive, warm, and genuinely passionate about what they serve. You can immediately feel the love and care that goes into every detail – both in the kitchen and in how they treat their guests.

If you love sushi, you’ll adore this place. Highly recommended – we’ll...
