Must use your google translate on the menu or you’re getting no where. But the issue is you must say “excuse me” or wave down the server for every single thing that you want to order. It makes more sense to get a large beer instead of small because you won’t get service anytime soon. They don’t offer enough non alcoholic drink options. The food was SO SALTY and I’m from the USA where we bathe in McDonald’s fries (I love salt but I needed lip balm and water after eating here). Service is extremely slow and unwelcoming. Disappointing experience. I arrived at 9.15 (45mins before closing) and was given a spot at the bar. The hostess asked if I wanted food (yes) and let me know it was last call for food. I ordered a beer while figuring out the menu. When I was ready to order, they let me know there were no skewers left, which was basically the whole menu. I asked for oysters, none. Soup? The bartender yelled "Sold out!" If they were actually 86ed, it was definitely news to the server. Seemed like they just wanted to clean up and get home, which is all good just would've been nice to let me know before offering me a seat and letting me order a 1200 yen pint. Great, interesting beer selection... The only reason it's getting 2 stars not 1. Service was very poor, we stood at the bar while 3 people behind the bar ignored us for 10 minutes while they switched out the handles for the taps and prepped some food (none of which was actually being served). We didn't feel welcome and left after one drink. In 2 weeks in Japan, this is the one and only time I've experienced this type of service.
