cafe nido — Restaurant in Kyoto

Wow, so glad I found this family run cafe!!! The lunch set was really nice, I got pasta alongside the salad and bread pictured but forgot to take a photo because it smelled so damn good and I ate it straight away.

The servings were generous enough and the salad dressing was one of the best I’ve ever had..I think it might be home made. Also the bread was sooo soft and delicious!

The customer service was really good and all the food was served with a smile which made my experience here even better ☺️I stayed after my meal to just read and soak up the atmosphere cause lots of natural sunlight comes in, it really cheered me up on a cold December day!

Excellent place.... We walked past here several times on our way to the market. I thought it was a coffee place but after checking out the photos of Google map, they do dinner as well. We tried walking in the next day but they were full. The whole place isn't big, probably 4 tables indoor and 2 tables outdoor... So reservations is probably important... Using my Japanese vocabulary which consist of a total of 5 words, I managed to book a table for my family. The chef is behind the counter cooking...
