I'm thrilled to share my exceptional experience at Eggs 'n Things Kyoto Shijo, a culinary gem that exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately made me feel at ease.
The food at Eggs 'n Things Kyoto Shijo is truly exceptional. I ordered the omelet, which was cooked to perfection and had a unique flavor profile that was both familiar and exciting. Although the cooking style was slightly different from what I'm used to, it added a delightful twist to the dish.
But what really stole the show was the waffle, which was cooked to a perfect crisp and had a great flavor. The combination of the waffle with the variety of syrups offered, including maple, strawberry, and coconut, added an extra layer of excitement to the meal.
What sets Eggs 'n Things Kyoto Shijo apart from other restaurants is the exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making sure that every guest has a fantastic experience.

Read moreWent to this breakfast place in Kyoto because it was really the only place open that we could find since it was Japanese new years. I think this is a like a chain restaurant because it kinda reminded me of IHOP or something like it. But I ordered the shrimp salad and i really like it. The salad dressing was bomb with the avocado. The shrimp, however, had a bad taste to me, so I picked it off. I also ordered the French toast because the people next to me had it and it looked tasty. When I got the French toast they had a big piece of butter on it and I'm not a big fan of butter so that was a turn off and then I cut into it and the French toast was very wet which made think it was very eggy and wasn't cooked properly. After tasting it I realized there was a custard on the French toast, which I can't say tasted good to me. I wish I would have known that the French toast had custard because I would not have ordered it. I like my French toast very plain and i assumed it would be since it was the original French toast. Lastly I also had the fried chicken and absolutely no no no no, it was not good. I ordered it with the lemon sauce which they out in the side and the sauce was sweet which was also weird so I only dipped one piece of chicken in it. The chicken was extremely greasy and fatty eww. It had an awful taste. My friend had the chicken and waffle and she agreed that it was not tasty as well. She said the waffles were pretty good with the coconut syrup. Oh I almost forgot i got the match strawberry drink and it was very sweet, but okay. I honestly wouldn't go here nor recommend this place, because the food wasn't good to me at all and I...

Let's start with the star of the show: the pancakes. Oh my goodness, they were pure heaven on a plate! Fluffy, perfectly cooked, and with a tantalizing hint of vanilla, these pancakes took me on an unforgettable journey with every bite. The texture was spot on, and the accompanying maple syrup and fresh fruits elevated the flavors to new heights. They truly set the standard for pancake perfection.
Equally deserving of praise is the Eggs Benedict. The combination of perfectly poached eggs, velvety hollandaise sauce, and a choice of succulent ham or smoked salmon was an absolute triumph. Each bite was a harmonious symphony of flavors, leaving me yearning for more. The eggs were cooked to perfection, with a gooey yolk that oozed over the other ingredients, creating a delectable blend of tastes and textures.
