This place is a hidden gem. I wish I’d found it sooner (rather than on my last night in Kyoto - but I’ll be back). The cafe is in a cute shop selling some great ethical fashions and products. The decor is really interesting modern industrial yet homey and full of detail. The menu is small but perfectly formed. A main dish of rice kongee porridge surrounded by an array of intriguing & delicious morsels with superb flavours and seasonings. Very delicate earthy flavours, pickles, mushrooms… black sesame tofu. Just gorgeous. Having eaten a fair amount of “regular” sushi on the preceding days this was exactly the “something different” I was looking for. The drinks were also delicious ( and specially nourishing for the gut) and the dessert plate was a taste sensation. To be fair if you like processed food and or are a committed meat eater you will not find much here to enjoy. If you are vegan it’s a 100% yes and if you are open minded and want to give your insides some serous but tasty nurturing it’s also a 100% yes.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the items for sale in the shop look great ( if more toward the designer end of the price scale)

Look at the menu and you’ll see that this place and the woman behind the menu is really one of a kind.
If you’ve indulged into the rush of sightseeing, this is a Very calming and relaxing place. It’s small, just a few tables, therefore it’s better to book from their website.
There is care in what they do You’ll feel better after eating here
This is also a shop selling hemp clothing and other healthy goods. They also sell a few types of Tea and coffe as well.
