My wife and I got a small plate of chicken and chips and fish and chips. We weren't super hungry, so it was just the right amount. The chicken and fish were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. My son got the garlic shrimp, and he cleaned his plate. If you're really hungry, I'd recommend a side in addition to the shrimp.
I got the large beer, and it was large! It was cold and refreshing after a hot day. The soda and juices do come with a lot of ice. If you wanted more per glass and are willing to have a less cold drink, I'd recommend asking for less ice.
The only negative is the seating is uncomfortable. These are all wood stools, booths, and chairs. Cushions would be a big improvement.
The staff were very polite and attentive. No negatives here for sure.
The prices were very affordable. You get more than you pay for in my opinion.
Highly recommended!

Read moreSmallish Italian inspired restaurant on a busy street. We chanced on this restaurant for a late lunch after visiting the sanjusengedo temple. There seemed to be a few regulars who seemed to be having friendly conversations. Serviced seemed a little cold but most likely due to language barrier. We ordered a couple of pasta dishes and shrimp sampler. The salad and drinks ordered seemed nothing special and we were not hoping for much from the pasta dishes. However, were pleasantly surprised and the pasta carbonara had a delicious smoky flavor and the Napolitano was delicious as well. Possibly the best pasta we ate during our 2 weeks in Japan. 👌 The carbonara was so good that we ended up ordering a second portion.
The tiramisu had too much coffee flavor and bitter.
Very inexpensive for the quality of the pasta dishes....
Read moreI think this may have been the best Gorgonzola gnocchi I have ever had. The food and wine - can’t fault it. I wasn’t even very hungry to start with but eating here was such a delight. My sister had the arabiata with penne and my brother in law had spaghetti with napolitana and were very happy with their choices also. I tried the arabiata and it was delicious and fresh. The green salad was fresh - perfect and simple with just the right amount of vinegar and oil. My white Wine (a Chardonnay by the glass) was really good too, so good I had a second glass - the food, the vibe, the atmosphere - low key, warm, relaxed and understated. Plenty of choices for drinks also and price point was all so reasonable. Regenerative delightful dining. Can’t rate it highly enough and wouldn’t hesitate to order anything from...
