March 25 Passed by this restaurant after getting off the subway. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to my liking. Tried the rich soy sauce ramen, but it was too oily and salty. The ramen texture wasn’t firm. As for the spicy ramen, it only had a salty taste. The gyoza was just average. The size was small, and the dumpling skin wasn’t fried until crispy—overall, the taste was disappointing.

Delicious meal which was nicely complimented by the friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere (I recommend sitting upstairs if there is space!). There is an English menu available and the staff do speak a little English (which isn't necessary but the gesture is appreciated). Much love from two customers from New Zealand and Australia, hope to visit again soon.

Era la nostra ultima serata a Kyoto nel mio primo viaggio in Giappone, stanchi e affamati e ancora indecisi su dove andare alle 9 di sera passate, decidiamo di andare in questo piccolo, informale ma molto accogliente locale di solo ramen, non lontano dal nostro hotel. I ragazzi dello staff (tutti giovani) ci hanno subito accolto con un sorriso e mostrato il menu, che di base offre poche (ma buonissime) varietà di ramen. Io ho scelto quello "Spicy" che viene proposto in 3 livelli di piccantezza, ma posso assicurare che già al livello 1 è eccezionale, ti risveglia tutti i sensi e ti scalda il cuore! Buonissimi anche gli extra, in particolare il pollo fritto e il maiale tagliato a cubetti e servito col riso. Infine il prezzo, tra i più bassi che abbiamo trovato a Kyoto (io ad esempio ho pagato circa 1200¥ prendendo il ramen "spicy" e il pollo), e sì può pagare con carta di credito (cosa purtroppo non scontata in questa città). Come ho detto anche alla simpatica ragazza che ci ha servito: very very spicy, very very good!

If you miss home, this is the place for you because music is English and a lot of staff is foreign. Ramen is on salty side (bamboo shoots, broth etc) Portion is decent. Pork bone broth wasnt as rich and creamy as I'm used to; not much depth in flavour. Service was fast. There were 2 menus; 1 in Japanese and one in English. While the food tasted good and the service and staff were wonderfully kind - my husband and I ended up getting food poisoning from their pork (or gyoza) since they were the only two things we ate differently from our kids.
