Kushihachi Shijo Karasuma — Restaurant in Kyoto

Oct 24: Aussie friends recommended this place and it was a huge success. It's quite quirky as 90% of the food is served on a stick, we opted for both of their recommended "favourites" (10 sticks each) just to see how we got on. One hour later with 48 sticks in our we bamboo bin and 3 beers shared we were full.

The service was good and the menu pictures are drawings but it is in English so its easy to understand, and the portions are small so it allows you to experiment. We were 6800¥ about £35 but well worth it and would definitely recommend. Thanks...

The izakaya is only accessible through 2 flights of stairs, so if you are not able to walk properly, this might not be a good...

Look for “串八” signage at the road side and follow the stairs down to B1F, you will probably find yourself in a queue.
