Kyo Karucha Cafe — Restaurant in Kyoto

I saw this cafe on Tiktok by @gacchi_gourmet and I’ve been wanting to go since. Got the chance to go to Kyoto when I met a friend. There was a line outside and I was more than willing to wait. I got the normal yellow cheesecake plus hot matcha latte with a cute neko latte art. It was life-changing. As someone who likes cheesecakes, I found it not too sweet. This was such a fun treat and the cheese was tasty and not too rich or heavy. It was just the right amount to leave us feeling good after visiting. We ordered the regular yellow one and the strawberry one and both were very good. For eating in, there is a nice lot designated and for take out they’ll package the cheese up neatly including tape to keep them from tipping in the box, and an ice pack to keep them cold. I had the strawberry cheesecake and the baked. The strawberry had a very soft sponge, and the strawberry coat was tasty.

The baked cheescake was very good balanced with the cheese, so it wasn't super stronge/intense in flavour.

They gave me a table with a nice view to a japanese garden, the second floor is very cosy, they are open until 19:00 but normally they are sold out by 16-17:00
