a nice quiet coffee spot where they serve not just coffee but also food. light eats so you can take a break from all the shopping and walking. this little coffee shop is tucked in behind a store that sells backpacks and apparel. When you enter the shop, you are asked to take off your shoes and the staff will walk you to your table. it is set up to look like a traditional yet modern look with the tatami floor and a picturesque view of their japanese garden - very zen feel. There is a 2 hour limit of hanging out in the area which is plenty of time to get a good rest for your legs and recharge to go back out again.
we ordered an egg sando which was absolutely aesthetic but also very tasty -- just look at the yolks! perfect!
for coffee we ordered a chestnut latte which was pretty good. smooth coffee and you can taste a little bit of chestnut from the cream.
the purple sprinkle one (shown in picture) is a sweet yam latte -- this was different. such strong yam flavor in the coffee it was a delight. i enjoyed every sip...
Read moreWe had the best time dining here! Luckily we came at a time when no one else was there and the staff were so friendly. The one waitress who tended to us spoke very fluent English and was so nice.
When it’s not busy, you can choose to sit at the bar table facing the beautiful zen garden or on the side tables further down catered for groups or couples. You will be asked to remove your shoes before dining as the floor is completely tatami mat.
I tried the limited Apple tea soda and that was my favourite drink! So yummy and refreshing and not too sweet. My partner ordered a macchiato and he said it was a great espresso drink, strong and tasty. The egg sando was very yummy too.
Thanks to the lovely staff who were on Sat...
Read moreGreat coffee in a great setting! It's located at the back of a small boutique store with tatami seating (although there is a alcove under the table to slide your legs into, it's very comfy). Serving lightly toasted speciality coffee for espresso, latte, etc - very nice latte art too. Best pick is their drip "coffee of the day"! It's a rotating single origin made with a V60 pourover mechanism. Ethiopian natural was extracted perfectly with mild tasting notes of chamomile tea and orange marmalade! Don't go expecting any food though! Just great coffee. Will definitely return here and also recommend to anyone...
