Nakau - Nijo-jo Castle — Restaurant in Kyoto

I visited while staying at THE MITSUI HOTEL KYOTO. It was the perfect late night spot, especially during winter when we need to go through snowstorms to get here. It was really perfect and was such an amazing moment I cherish forever. The person I was with, the cold chilly night, the warm perfectly cooked and delicious katsu curry was just perfect in my mind.

The ambiance, coupled with the delightful company, elevated the experience into a cherished moment. Nakau's culinary prowess shone through in every bite, transforming a cold and chilly night into a perfect symphony of flavors. The contrast of the snowy landscape outside with the comforting warmth inside made it an unforgettable dining escapade.

Quick, tasty, inexpensive -- pretty much the trifecta of restaurant experiences. We chose this for our second breakfast in Tokyo, and were not disappointed -- my wife had the pork cutlet oyakodon, while I had the chicken curry rice bowl, and both were rich and flavorful. Once we figured out the self-service ticket station (there is, helpfully, one machine that offers an English menu, so we weren't stuck scanning each screen with Google Translate), the process took perhaps eight minutes from paying and getting our tickets and receiving our food. Good food at a good value; would definitely recommend if you're not fussy...

As a tourist who visit Japan for the first time, I walked into the restaurant feeling lost because actually there was no directions about how to order. The first thing I saw was the QR code on the table which was literally not easily accessible to foreigners. Minutes later I finally realized there was a kiosk for odering behind me when another customer walked in and started using it. （one probably could not notice the kiosk in the first place if he/she came to the chain restaurant for the first time）

Apart from that the food was cheap enough and tasted good, especially when other restaurants were closed in...
