Taiwan Xiaolongbao Kyoto Yodobashi Branch — Restaurant in Kyoto

The manager here was one of the most hospitable and kind restaurant people we have met while here in Japan. Despite not being able to eat the buffet, he made sure we were all well fed. He was especially nice to our child with the toy box and even made sure our daughter got a nicer looking bun when the first one was smaller than expected. Our 6-year old couldn't help but insist we come here again while here in Kyoto. We just want to say thank you to the manager and staff for making our day and our daughter especially happy while here in Kyoto. We will come back again when we are able to visit from America....

Food models look great. Actual food was much worse than we expected and service was not nearly as friendly. Told me no noodles available and all sold out. When we left we saw two other tables having noodles. Our family makes Taiwanese food all the time and where we live in the US, we get better Taiwanese and Chinese food eating out. This is really too bad. The meat fillings are too mushy, siu mai doesn’t look like it and the pork is too finely chopped. Ma po tofu also too mashed up instead of having chunky bits of pork.
