This tea house is a beautiful oasis of calm and serenity with wonderful tea and sandwiches. I had the assam tea as I am in the Assam tea house. There were many varieties I enjoyed this tea immensely the pot served theee HOT cups of tea. My partner had an iced tea with cinnamon and he said it was good as well. The sandwiches were made fresh and I watched the owner cook the egg fresh with chopsticks. We finished with scones and jam and cream. Everything was excellent. Highly recommend

Everyone there was respectful of the zen ambiance. And we just loved that about the place in addition to the scrumptious scones.

A hidden gem in Kyoto. The space is small, quiet, and absolutely beautiful — surrounded by greenery with a minimalist design that radiates calm. What a gem! This wonderful tea house (“no coffee” said the owner when we entered) is simply the best place to enjoy a quirky list of tea and limited (but excellent) range of cakes and while away an hour in the middle of the Philosophers Path.
