If I could give negative stars, I would do so.

The service is incredibly slow; if there are more than two tables, you run the high risk of being forgotten by your server although the restaurant itself is tiny. They also do not seem to collect the plates after you finish and customers need to figure out to stack their own plates in order to create counter space.

The taste is also quite mediocre. We had the mixed seafood, most of the fish was old. The highball tasted like muddy water with barely any alcohol.

The only thing it has going for it is its location I guess. If you are staying in Ace hotel and you’re rained in and everywhere else is closed maybe this is a last...

We had a wonderful time at Tempura Tentora. Everything was great and delicious. My favorite items are lobster tempura, shrimp tempura, scallop tempura, sweet potato, Octopus and avocado. We're very thankful that the owner let us dine for one hour because we didn't have a reservation and we were leaving Kyoto the next day. She was very friendly and communicated with us in English.
