Foret coffee — Restaurant in Nagano

Update: As of 4/21, Foret is offering takeout only with outdoor seating available. However, as a bonus, if you buy a bag of beans, you will get a cup of coffee free!

This is currently my favorite coffee shop in Nagano city.

Spent 4 nights at Nagano and walked past this cafe everyday, but I ordered the coffee only on the departure day. What a regret 😩! My best flat white I had in my 2-week holiday trip. The cafe is operated by a couple (i think so 🫣) and what I really appreciate is that while my wife and I have ordered two flat white coffee, each cup is served right away to our table upon brewed; i.e. making two trips to our table, ensuring that we have the freshest brewed coffee. I was absolutely touched by and deeply respect such attitude....

Really solid coffee from a cute, hip coffee shop off the main street heading towards zenkoji. Iced americano was phenomenal with their in-house Kenya single origin beans — had a refreshing hint of grapefruit on what was an abnormally toasty September day.
