I was drawn in by the wagyu beef advertisement at the entrance, and indeed they do offer Kobe beef along with red wine pairings, which is a unique feature. The quality of the ingredients is probably the only strong point. The set menu is priced higher than nearby restaurants, and the portion size is especially small.
Avoid sitting at the innermost seats — the air conditioning is freezing, and it makes it hard to properly cook the food. The service was rather careless. The red wine glass they initially gave me wasn’t clean. I asked for a new one, but the replacement was still dirty. It was only after asking for a second replacement that I finally got a clean glass.
The chopsticks provided for cooking sukiyaki were very short, which made it easy to get splashed with oil. I cannot speak to the rest of the menu, which looked quite pricy for what it was, however I can say with confidence that the lunch set meal is absolutely worth it and feels like a steal. Quite empty at lunch so I feel like it’s a ploy to get people in the door - and more people should be taking advantage of it....
