𝑲𝑬𝑵'𝑺 𝑴𝑨𝑮𝑼𝑹𝑶 & 𝑺𝑨𝑳𝑴𝑶𝑵 𝑹𝑬𝑺𝑻𝑨𝑼𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑻 — Restaurant in Osaka

I was looking for a breakfast spot and stumbled upon this restaurant. Upon coming I was greeted with a warm welcome by the staff. The waitress that helped me was super sweet and brought me a hot tea immediately which was so comforting coming in from the cold. I chose the 3 bowl set and to my surprise the prices were extremely affordable.

When the food came out, it was displayed in such a beautiful manner and the attention to detail for the set is incredible. The waitress explained to me what each bowl was and which sauces and how to best eat them. This is such a big help because when there is so much on display, you sometimes get overwhelmed with how to eat everything together.

The food was simply amazing. I still couldn't believe that this was the quality of food I was getting for the money. I can tell the care that was taken to prepare this meal. For me the 3 bowl set was a perfect size for breakfast. I would love to come back one day to try all the other menu items.

At the end the chef himself, Ken, came out to ask how everything was and was so appreciative of my patronage. This is a wonderful little restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Almost ruined our day, a truly horrendous experience.

We arrived at 9:30am for breakfast, there are other tables and everyone orders at approximately the same time.

Every other table finished their food before ours comes out, no problem. We have a reservation for an event at 11am so start getting worried, my husband goes back to our hotel (6 mins away) and is able to get our tickets etc and come back before our food arrives, again no problem it’s only 10am and we see his food coming out.

My food does not come out. My husband finishes his food. (See photo of his finished plate and my nothing) New tables have arrived replacing everyone we entered around the same time. They get their orders taken etc.

I panic thinking maybe they forgot my order? Finally it comes out at 10:24am - I have to eat it so quickly I can’t even tell you what it tasted like.

They didn’t tell anyone it would take 54 minutes for the food to come out after sitting down, or that they wouldn’t even give the food together.

I had the pleasure of paying ¥5000+ for this stressful and tasteless experience.

Ken's place is really a gem. I've had a really rough time in osaka finding a good place to eat, but then Me and my girlfriend saw this place by accident when we were walking down the street starving, and looking for a nice place where the food is actually worth the price that you pay. The waitress was lovely, the atmosphere was more than great and the chef was more than welcoming (gave us cookies for desert and filled our cup of tea everytime we finished it). We had the 5 peice set and and a bluefin tuna belly with salmon bowl and it was really good. I havent seen many good places in Osaka and I almost gave up and started to think about eating at McDonald's but this place really changed my mind about my experience with this city. I'm happy that we chose this place and I recommend to everyone who come to Osaka, specifically the america mura area to come visit and enjoy this wonderful place.
