Very disappointing experience. The reservation website did not mention any dining time limit. At the reception, no one told us the table must be returned in 90 minutes and we were only told when we sat down at the table. When we tried to order food and drinks, the QR code didnโt work. We asked the staff for assistance and clarification about the dining time policy, but the staff was extremely rude. He showed the restaurantโs reservation page in a disrespectful manner and gave no explanation about the time limit.
We also showed him our reservation confirmation, but he couldnโt find any relevant rules either. On top of that, the staff refused to assist with the QR code issue and kept repeating that we still had one hour left โ which made it feel like they didnโt want to help.
This was the worst service Iโve experienced at a restaurant in Japan during my trip. Definitely not...
ย ย ย Read moreI came by around 6:30 in the evening and was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait at all. I ordered both the okonomiyaki and the yakisoba to try a bit of everything. The food does take some time to prepare, so I would recommend ordering as soon as you sit down and just enjoying the atmosphere while you wait. Out of the two dishes, I personally liked the yakisoba more since it had a great balance of flavor and texture. The okonomiyaki was still tasty, but the yakisoba stood out for me. One thing I really appreciated was that they had bottles of sauce on the side so you can adjust the flavor to your own liking. They also had a big container of katsuobushi, which was a nice touch because you can add as much as you want. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, the food was satisfying, and I would be happy to come back again to try more items...
ย ย ย Read moreI visited Ajikuraya with a foreign friend recently, and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. The staff treated us coldly, and it was clear that the level of service we received was much lower compared to other customers. My friend, in particular, was ignored when trying to order, and the explanations we received were brief and dismissive.
It felt like we were being discriminated against just because my friend is not Japanese. Watching how kindly the staff treated other tables made the difference even more noticeable. We left feeling very uncomfortable and unwelcome.
I hope the restaurant will reflect on this and improve their attitude toward all customers, regardless of nationality. If youโre planning to visit with foreign friends, please be aware of this...
