Bar Mustang — Restaurant in Osaka

I got scammed by this bartender called Shachika that kept pouring shots without requesting, not just for myself but for her and other customers, which at first seemed like a gesture out of good will, but it was really a scam. She then demanded me to pay for all those shots, even having a guy to back her up. Which at first we were having a friendly conversation, but I guess he was probably in on the scam as well.

Eventually I got my money back from the shots, after arguing with her.

I've also noticed that I got overcharged on my previous bill, unfortunately I've only noticed when I got back to my hotel.

She clearly tried to take advantage of the fact that I was distracted interacting with other customers as well with herself, and probably assumed I was getting too drunk and wouldn't notice.

Avoid this place at all costs, since it clearly employes dishonest people that will try to take advantage of you if you give them a chance!

Response to the owner: Clearly the typical deflection of a dishonest person, that now desperately tries to lie to cover your staff's indiscretions. And it's a stupid lie as well, trying to insinuate that I was interested in your bartender, making me look like a creep, to gain extra sympathy points for your scammer bartender, and to hurt my review's credibility.

If you have those camera and sound recordings, please display them for everyone to see if at any moment I had any inappropriate interactions with her. Also I was mainly interacting with other customers and occasionally talked to her.

And how am I making her drunk when she's the one serving the drinks? She was actually trying to get me drunk in order to overcharge me without me noticing! Which she definitely tried to do.

Please share those recordings you claimed to have so that everyone can see her spontaneously pooring shots without being requested! Not to mention she was pooring to other people on the bar as well. Was I trying to get them drunk and take them to my hotel as well? Your reply clearly shows this wasn't an issue with one staff member but dishonesty is clearly part of your business practice.

Very unprofessional female foreign bartender working there. After paying my bill, I tried to bring up a complaint about their service, which quickly escalated into a conflict.

There was no one around to deescalate the situation, and I was getting ready to leave after feeling frustrated, but they got their CUSTOMERS to start yelling at me and asking me to pay my bill AGAIN. They started to record me on their phone instead of finding someone level-headed to hear my frustration.

They should have a sober staff with the maturity to deescalate a situation with a frustrated customer who has had some drinks. And to listen to customer feedback. To ask me to pay again and have other customers try and intimidate me is crazy. My friend ended up having to pay my bill for the SECOND TIME for me, and according to him he got his money back after going back to talk to them.

After my drink was tampered with at a different bar in Kyoto, I am very very careful with the places I visit. I am here to confirm: this bar is safe, clean, and not too expensive.
