Much better experience the few times that I have visited the establishment within the last year and a half.
The only downside is that the online menu doesn't have special request fields like asking for no butter on the toast and to have olive oil on the side instead, or been able to select mustard to be served on the side with the burgers.
BTW: Dijon mustard is not really the kind of mustard that is usually used on burgers.

Been a long time patron dating back over 6 years, so it is really sad that I have to leave such a negative review.
Food: 4/5 Fresh ingredients and food tastes good Service: 2/5 Servers gossiping instead of making the rounds Value: 3/5 Lunch sets doesn't include drinks Ambiance: 4/5
Went back after 6 months from my last visit.
The entrance on the side was closed, not sure if management is trying to shut this location down on purpose.
Arrived around 11:10AM, online menu ordering system was not up and running and had to bring that up with the server, server wasn't too receptive about my feedback.
Ordered food around 11:17AM, servers were just gossiping around given that the establishment was completely empty.
Food arrived around 11:32AM, as always the food seemed appetizing and all the ingredients were fresh.
Had to ask for mustard on the side given that the restaurant no longer carries the Heinz mustard packs that used to be served along with the silverware and the single pack of Heinz ketchup.
Went to make a payment, there is a touch free reader that clearly can read RFID equipped credit cards, was told that it wasn't functional. Kind of unexpected after all of these months, guess their system upgrade cycle must be every 3 years or longer, more and more establishments accept touch free payment methods.
Also mentioned to the cashier that the side door was not open and that from the outside the building prospective customers could not tell if the establishment was open for business. Cashier did not seem to be too interested about my comments.
Such a shame to see this establishment performing so poorly, if you want to be treated like you are back in the US dining at an establishment that is been manned by tweens, then Brooklyn Parlor is your place. The burgers are still good but that is about it, don't expect service that matches the quality of the food.
Previous review from 2019:
Food: 4/5 Fresh ingredients Service: 4/5 Good service when not crowded Value: 4/5 Good value, best values are the lunch sets/specials Ambiance: 4/5 Loft style, individual and shared tables seating along with sofa seating
Had a chance to try out the new Japanese lunch set at Brooklyn Parlor, everything on the tray was fresh and tasted great, the finishing touches were a bit off since the salad dressing wasn't distributed uniformly. Other than that the kitchen staff did a great job.
The Root Salad has been revamped slightly with the dressing been served on the side instead of been included when the salad used...
Read moreThe burgers tasted amazing, they are on the smaller side compared to American/Australian standards as I ordered a large. The service was quite upsetting, I felt that because we were foreigners maybe they had something against us or a bad experience? Not sure but everyone around us had been given water with their meals except us, there was a station with jugs and glasses of water and when we poured some at our table the wait staff got upset and said we weren’t supposed to. We apologized but we were just after some water with our food and at the time there was no staff around to ask. Additionally we ordered some fish which came in a little metal dish covered in oil with some bread on the side, we were not given any cutlery or chopsticks to dish the fish onto the bread and when I politely asked the waitress she rudely said that you need to use the bread. I have never written a negative review before and have had such a positive experience so far in Japan and this actually upset me a little. Would just like to add that the male waiter was lovely. + I thought the price was...
Read moreFood Poisoning I ordered a BP Royal Burger last night and it tasted kinda good, definitely different than how the burgers taste in the US. It was almost as if the burgers patty was steamed, not grilled over fire or on a stove - there was no maillard or grill marks. the bun was really nice and horseradish sauce gave it a nice kick. Anyways, this burger had some bacon on it that wasn’t rendered, I figured no biggie - in japan they eat tonkatsu and pork where the fat’s not fully rendered. I don’t know what part of that burger got me sick, but it’s been coming out of both sides for the last 12 hours. I’m going to go over there and see if they will refund me for my misery from their food (cuz...
