I have celiac disease and was really worried about what I’d eat while in Osaka. Fortunately, I found this place that has delicious menu options!!! I had the honey & butter on toast which was perfectly crunchy and spread beautifully! I don’t usually like butter but this toast changed my mind! The toast came with a salad and although I don’t usually like salads I decided to eat it to get some more nutrients in me and I gobbled it up! My mum was even surprised!
My family was also with me to try this place and they also loved it!!! My dad adored the egg sandwich and said the coffee is really good (which is huge because he’s the pickiest coffee drinker ever) and my sister (who usually hates gf bread with a passion) loved the rice bread used, and my mum adored the Japanese Tea.
We also bought some sweet treats from ChocoLatta and omg they’re so yummy!!! The ショコラスク is like a chocolate biscuit and uses no flour! It’s pretty yummy and although the texture was weird at first, it was so delicious! The 米粉クッキー translates to Rice Cookies and are a perfect balance between being a sweet treat and a small snack. They’re light and easy yet sweet and delicious. The 米粉と豆腐のもっちり焼きドーナツ is a rice flour and tofu donut that tastes phenomenal. It’s sweet and soft on the inside with a not too crumbly outside. All the snacks were amazing.
It’s honestly such good food and the owner is very sweet. I admire his work since he’s the only worker there. The wait times were good in the morning and there’s a plethora of sweet treats to try if you’re not a breakfast person as well as a lunch menu. I honestly loved this and would recommend for anyone else who either a) is gluten free or b) anyone who...
Read moreYou don’t need to have a gluten free diet to enjoy this place, it’s a peaceful gem. The French toast is incredibly fluffy (possibly the best you’ll will ever have) and the vegan curry is pure bliss. Treat yourself to the chocolate brownie at the end, it will leave you dreaming all day long. The highlight for me though at ChocoLatta is the kind gentle souled gentleman that works in the kitchen. He puts is heart and soul into his cooking and it shows when your meal reaches the table. We will miss this place, I’m going to miss walking through the sliding door being greeted by the gentleman in the kitchen. This is the kind of place I’ll cherish and be grateful of throughout my life, and it’s all because of the man that runs...
Read moreOne of the best gluten-free spots in Osaka! Honestly, if I hadn’t been told it was gluten-free, I never would have guessed. A lot of gluten-free bread can feel heavy, but here it was light and easy on the stomach. We loved the cozy atmosphere of the café, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. For anyone with celiac disease who has ever craved a proper sando like the ones from 7/11, this is the place to go. The vegetables were a real highlight, so fresh and naturally sweet that they didn’t even need dressing. It truly felt like they had just been picked from the garden. Everything, from the drinks to the omelette, was freshly prepared and...
