Discovered a fresh gem in the center of Osaka. This is the spot to go if you're searching for a nice place to relax on the weekends or even weekdays! They provide a selection of Japanese sake. Try their wine tasting if you're not familiar with sake or rice wine; the staff will be happy to suggest a beverage that you'll enjoy. It was a fantastic and unique experience for me as a foreigner as I learned about many different flavors that sake may combine with. I would like to suggest the Beau Michelle because it offers the fruity taste I was looking for. Excellent staff and a really welcoming setting! I visited Wajou back in March for sake tasting, and it surely did not disappoint! The staff, special shoutout to Renz (!!) were so friendly, and if you are new to the sake world they are happy to recommend the best ones you’d like. I ordered Beau Michelle and the citrus yuzu, and both are sooooo good and light, perfect for the cool Osaka weather. Renz even gave me a japanese snack (kakinotane) to partner the drinks with (can’t think of a better combination). You can also feel the zen even if it is a bar, with the pleasant atmosphere. Me and my friends have only had sake once and didn’t like it but our bar tender tonight gave us really good recommendations that we ended up loving. We did one of the basic sake tasting split between the 3 of us and were given very good options according to our tastes. Our bartender was super sweet; we learned about the making process and how to get good sake (can’t remember his name unfortunately :( ). We also got some of their wines/liquors.
