The grilled skewers were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, and their sashimi platter was incredibly fresh — melt-in-your-mouth good. Don’t miss the house-made karaage and the creamy potato salad, both were outstanding.

The drinks menu also deserves a shoutout — an impressive selection of sake and Japanese highballs, all reasonably priced. We tried a few local sake recommendations from the staff and were not disappointed.

Every dish I tried was absolutely fantastic. Because of all the bad reviews, I was hesitant when I started eating, but seriously!! What’s the problem ? The Beef Nabe in red sauce was sufficiently spicy and warmed us up on this cold wintry night. Plenty of healthy veggies, beef innards, delicious broth.

We were seated by and served by 2 different guys and they were both courteous and helpful especially with me as I only speak pidgin Japanese: simimasen 😳

Food came within 10 minutes after ordering: The nabe was set up well on a mini gas stove (kawaii) and cooked while we ate our other dishes:

Spicy chicken wings - nicely cooked, spiced up with chilli powder - finger licking good; Agedashi tofu - wahhh ! Yummy sauce with touch of ginger gave it such an exotic taste. Came to this little place twice, once out of late circumstance. The service is a bit slow, but I think bc they can get rather busy with one person working the floor!
