Nagata Hamburg — Restaurant in Osaka

Surprising good meat. I like good beef blue/rare/medium rare and the presentation of the meat just lightly seared was perfect for me. I ordered the Hamburger/loin steak combo. The all meat hamburger was made very well and crumbled nicely when cooked to medium rare over the small hotplate - the meat is not overhandled with nice balance of meat and fat. I like the loin steak especially. The meat from a usually tougher cut was already tender even without further cooking. More cooking brought out flavour from the muscle fat. And while you couldn't see the marbling on the meat, the rich fatty mouthful from the rare-medium rare finish is obvious. I don't speak Japanese so I could not ask whether the steak was from the butcher and if the steak was the Chita Beef that the butcher was advertising. The main condiment for me was the salt, and that was enough to go with the excellent meats. The salad was alright and went well with meats. Service was nothing to shout about and could be friendlier and more welcoming, but this is a butchery serving a cooked meal from their selection of meats so I would forgive the lesser service. If you're here to have a quick meal to good meat with no fuss, this is a great place to come to. I wish I stayed another day too have another meal here at Nagata Seinikuten...

Surprisingly, real hidden gem.

Stumbled across this place while trying to search for dinner options around Umeda Station. Saw that there was a queue for the raw meat portion and proceeded to check out the dine in area.

Despite the image appearing to be quite small, the meal was very filling for one person (the plate displayed is huge). The meal was very delicious as well for its price point.

The staff although not fluent in English, was happy to serve us — translate the information needed and answer all our questions clearly (using Google Translate of course).

As mentioned, for the price point AND the lack of an absurd crowd, this place is definitely worth checking out.

I have overall positive experience with Osaka just specifically not this restaurant! Service : Both male waiter and the cook are completely rude to us foreigner when my family just want to join in the seating but have not yet to order.
