Nudoruya ME-CHA-KU-CHA — Restaurant in Osaka

This ramen was life-changing. My friend and I talked through every meal we had in Japan except this one. This one, as soon as we sat down, the owner/chef started his magic. It was an experience just getting to watch him MAKE the stuff. When it sat in front of us, we just looked at each other in wonder, then dug in. This ramen was, in short, an order of magnitude better than any ramen I've had before or since. It was in an entirely different league. And I say that as someone who's had his fair amount of ramen. Not your typical ramen shop, an interesting one and would love to become a regular here. The interior is cozy with a big long wooden counter, like a bar/Italian restaurant. I had the soy sauce base ramen. Unlike ordinary ramen, it isn't too salty and the noodle are all homemade by the owner. Chashu(sliced meat) is delicious as well. I’m a local who lives nearby but OMG, this ramen shop has one of THE BEST ramen in the country!!!
