PASTA+ — Restaurant in Osaka

We were hoping for a good Italian meal after 6 days of excellent Japanese food. Pasta+ exceeded all our expectations. The food was excellent, and the service was exceptional. The restaurant is nicely decorated, allowing guests to enjoy their meal in comfortable and pleasant surroundings. When the waitress learned that my wife and I will be sharing, the chefs portioned every dish into two plates before serving us. Talk about good service! They make their own pasta and sourdough bread fresh using good quality ingredients which made the food taste very good. We ordered the lagsana and fettucine with Japanese shredded beef and two desserts; the cheesecake and tiramisu. The lady owner was friendly and chatted with us. She told us that the chefs had worked in Italy for many years. We could tell that they take great pride in serving guests with authentic and high-quality Italian food. It's one of the best Italian meals we've had anywhere; an unexpectedly great Italian meal in Osaka. We visited the washrooms after our meal. My son & I have been traveling through Japan for several weeks & decided we were in the mood for some pasta. We spent about a half hour searching for options because neither one of us eats pork & that disqualified most of our choices. We finally settled on Pasta + which was about 30 minutes from our hotel via subway. What a fortunate decision! Instead of just a plate of pasta, which is what I had been looking for, I stumbled into an amazing tasting menu for an incredibly reasonable price. I got the 10000¥ set which featured 3 small seasonal bites, 2 appetizers, 2 different pasta courses, a fish course, a meat course, dessert & coffee. All of the food was exquisitely prepared & presented made with beautifully sourced ingredients. The staff was so kind & engaging as well. We have travelled to many other countries & had fantastic meals everywhere but this was truly one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve ever had. Pasta + is in a relatively quiet part of Osaka, not in one of the more heavily trafficked areas, but it is definitely worth seeking out. Wow! GO TO PASTA+

My wife and I just finished a truly memorable and wonderful meal at Pasta+. Not knowing more than the positive reviews on Google, it was one of those times where expectations were greatly exceeded.

As others have said well on reviews, the food and service are top drawer and the value beyond what one could hope. Our server was professional, pleasant and efficient. The food from our starter salad, Ragu Fettucini/Cacio e Pepe and crème brûlée / coffee cashew dessert were truly world class. How they source ingredients with such care is evident in the quality of the product.

As if that wasn’t enough, Ritsuko, the owner, came to greet us and we enjoyed the luxury of her company and story. Her background, her family and sister (who lived in Italy for over 30 years) showcase what we have seen as a lost art. People passionate about clients, sourcing the best ingredients, bringing value and experience that is all about caring.
