Walked in randomly after my visit to Osaka Castle. There was no queue nor was the place packed cos I came after lunch time. Thank goodness they are still open as I realised that many restaurants will close after lunch and reopen again for dinner. Place is small and unassuming, with (again) a menu in Japanese. Seeing that I was using Google Lens to translate, the staff handed me an English menu which was useful! Ordered a regular set with a pork cutlet and waited a bit before I was served. Which was ok I guess cos that meant that they really took time to prepare the food.

The rice and cabbage were refillable of course but I didn't cos I can't even finish my bowl. The pork cutlet was great, I usually don't like breaded fried food but this was not greasy at all. The breaded layer was thin and crispy and complements the cutlet well. The cutlet was lean, which I liked and surprisingly not dry at all. Meat is still slightly pinkish - which worried me a bit - but the whole cutlet was fully cooked through and juicy.

In terms of cost this was quite comparable to what other tonkatsu places charge so I would not say it's value for money. Would recommend to check out of you are in the...

This was my first visit. This restaurant is located in the restaurant area of Panante Keihan Tenmabashi, located above Keihan Tenmabashi Station. This restaurant area has many good restaurants, and most of them are open from lunchtime until late at night, so it's very convenient. This time, I ordered the aged extra thick-cut sirloin cutlet. It was topped with plenty of shredded cabbage, which was great. It also came with some yuzu daikon radish as a pickle, which was also delicious. I dipped the pork cutlet in rock salt, sauce, and mustard to taste. The outside batter was crispy, and the inside was thick, firm, and tender pork. It was a very satisfying pork...

Very clean place, the lady taking the order spoke one word in English but was very friendly and smily, and we managed to order with basic phrases in Japanese. The two types of tonkatsu sets we had were truly tasty, the meat was tender, the sides turned out to be awesome as well. The composition sat well on the stomach and we were very satisfied...
