I think im the target market, the naive tourist 😄👍 their strategy of displaying the beef outside where people can see it, it worked extremely good for them.
Good food for me, my wife likes it too. but she is unsure what this beef is, and why Yamaguchi is such a big deal next to Kobe.. so she asked the guy who guided us to the table. but the guy was not taking it, we are asking about the beef, we felt he is impatient and just want us to get it over with and just choose the Yamaguchi, today recommended so we were confused why, we are asking the difference between the Yamaguchi beef, they're saying in their menu versus Kobe beef. we didnt order Kobe beef, because of the price.. it was twice as much as Yamaguchi ones, so we went with the affordable option. it was good. their Chops sticks could be better if they use chopsticks plastic resin rather than cheap wood, my rices sticks to the wood like glue.

This place is a tourist trap. Beef that is served is no where similar to the menu and the description “melt-in-your-mouth”. The beef itself is full of silver skin, which could barely be chewed. Even the store front where they display the beef, they placed high grade beef cuts (A5 wagyu striploin, ribeye) on low priced, Japanese price tag.
For hygienic factors, the male chef at the counter bar kept coughing for the whole time of our sitting and used his hands to wipe his nose and mouth at the same time using that same hand to serve meat onto the plate. Meanwhile, the female chef, with extremely long manicured gel nails, makes sushi rice and touch every other food components for the customers.
